Results of the Canadian Immigration's Bad Faith Policy?

This bad faith policy used by the Canadian immigration system to recruit professional skilled immigrants has destroyed our future and that of many immigrants like us. After traveling thousand of miles and on entry into Canada we found that our professional skills, years of education and experience have no value and are not accepted by Canadian professional bodies and employers, further we are not allowed to work in our field of expertise which lead to various problems.

[Exhibit 13 - Chart 4 – Before and After coming to Canada]

The government’s so-called policy was and is the root of the problem; in fact these bad faith policies have sealed our fate and that of many other immigrants who have come under this category.  After coming to Canada we have been unemployed or severely under-employed for 8 years, experiencing severe hardships, mental and physical stress, and financial ruin. It took 8 years of struggle and fighting for justice, for us to get back into our fields, however our suffering has not ended.

The bad faith policy that brought us to Canada has created a mountain of debt that we are not capable of servicing and has ruined any chance of us coming out of our situation for many years to come. We have been forced in bankruptcy and kept in bankruptcy so that our case for seeking justice will not progress. This was done to prevent a floodgate of future claims, and this has further sealed our belief that we will be in hardship for the rest of our lives. Canada has dealt with this case in the same way it has dealt with the land claims of its Aboriginal peoples. Anger, denial and delay, against the victims. We ironically find ourselves going to the same remedy that First Nations people in Canada have had to resort to: the United Nations.
