What went wrong with the Immigration Process?

Unknown to us the Canadian High Commission had knowingly, carelessly and recklessly:

1)  Provided us with an official General Occupation list that was outdated and as old as 1994. In one of the discovery document dated 1st June 1996, the government responded to queries with regard to this list was that, the General Occupation List was as old as 1994 and that the reason why it was not updated was because they did not have any intention of using the List in the future. This statement has been contradicted with the fact that in reality this List was used in 1997 when it was given to us.

[Exhibit 8: - Workshop on Recognition for Foreign Credentials dated 1st June 1996]

2) Had not disclosed to us that they were looking for candidates who were qualified in Canada and that those candidates had to be a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified General Accountant (CGA) or a Canadian Chartered Accountant (CA).

3) Had assessed us not by the intended occupation - “Accountant” as listed on our application but by what the officer deemed to fit a recruiting purpose meant to import another immigrant for cheap labour.

[Exhibit 9: Original Application Form states Accountant: Box “17”]

4) Canada in its desperation wants to gain professionals like ourselves and to meet their immigration quota assessed us under a different category than what we had applied for and failed to inform us of this fact.

5) Canadian officials had knowingly and recklessly changed our intended occupation in-country without our knowledge and did not inform us.
